I'm back
It's been a rough beginning to 2019.  As is traditional for Sunday we went to Sunday School and church and then to eat lunch with my parents. We had just finished lunch and I was headed to work to type a counter offer because ... business is certainly good... when Donald got a phone call. When I heard it was my father in law I really was taken aback.  Larry NEVER calls us.  He might say "hi" if Jan calls or if we call to talk to her, but he's not a phone talker at all.  Not much of a talker.
As it turns out my mother in law had gone the evening before (early morning hours here) to the ER and had been admitted following a  heart attack. There was some world wind packing, counter typing, driving the dogs to the border, but 6 hours later we were at the airport park and ride and headed to San Diego.
We were in her room about 13 hours after the phone call.  She had a heart cath on Monday the 7th, triple bypass surgery on the 10th and there were serious complications that prevented them from being able to finish and close her chest.  ... more
