Silver Lake-Echo Park Vacant Land Trends Report....
Silver Lake is a  wonderful residential as well as commercial neighborhood of, Los Angeles, CA! Just to share a little history here. The community originally started around the 1900’s and it was built around the city’s reservoir and was called Ivanhoe by residents who originated from Scotland.
As time went by, the name  was changed to Silver Lake, not because of the color of the water of the reservoir, rather it was named after a local politician who helped create the reservoir.
 It was a very bohemian area about thirty years ago. Over the years Silver Lake turned into a hip and cool area, because  many of the entertainment industry’s hipsters who did not want to live in the Hollywood Hills or in Beverly Hills decide to call Silver Lake their home. This in turn created a low-key environment with neighborhood restaurants and hangouts, that are pretty much frequented by the local residents.
Hence the demand for homes have created a great deal of gentrification and pushed out most of the local Latino and Asian residents. Now with that said there are still some vacant land opportunities.
