In the foothills of SC, we called them "cabins" or hunting shacks. Now they have a style upgrade and called "Tiny Houses". Building on a private lake or in non-restricted (Non-HOA) community can make this dream happen for so many. But you will be down some back roads and in Rurally located, such as on one of our beautiful private lakes. 
Whether you’re thinking about switching to tiny house living or you’ve recently bought your own tiny home, you’re probably wondering one thing. And that’s how you can best prep!
 
And as your real estate resource, I have a number of tips that can help you best prepare for this lifestyle change. But we’re not talking about one or two tips here, or even three or four. In fact, we’re talking about your GIANT list of prepping tips for tiny house living!
 
Take a flexible attitude, especially when it comes to local codes or city authorities. And don’t worry, because there are almost always creative solutions to these issues. 
 
On that note, work with local building codes the best you can. As the tiny house movement gains a foothold nationally, these codes are expected to change.
