Treasures 4 Tucson has a mission statement on their webpage that helps summarize the role they play in helping our educators:
Mission: To provide educators with hands-on interactive learning materials for use in their classrooms through donated and re-purposed items, as well as for raising funds to support this purpose.
Their resource center is dependent upon donations, both materially and monetarily, and raise some great thoughts about de-cluttering when you're doing your spring cleaning this year. Whether it’s plastic bottle caps, straws, tongue depressors, fabric scraps or golf balls and office supplies, Treasures 4 Teachers can make use of your items. Here's a list of some most needed items!
Many schools and local districts do not have the funds to purchase basic learning supplies, much less add-on materials. Treasures 4 Teachers offer these items at discount to our teaching staff. In addition, re-purposing materials helps keep supplies out of landfills.
Treasures 4 Teachers in Tucson also accepts your tax deductible cash contributions. Every dollar you donate to T4T T allows teachers to take back $20 or more worth of supplies back to the classroom. T4T T also needs volunteers to collect, sort, and compile materials and welcome corporate ... more
