I know, I know--it's a stretch, but if you watch "2001 A Space Odyssey" you just may come up with I just did:
The reason the whole thing with these high-tech listing platforms like Z and R seem so otherworldly right now is the disconnect to the individual, the public and the real estate agent. The failure to see that the complications of a real estate transaction are almost impossible to accomplish without a flesh and blood agent is beyond understanding.
The film "2001 A Space Odyssey" gives light to the darkness that has overtaken the brokerage communities across the nation...I almost feel like the movie and its message, as obscure as it is, is the right thing to see right now--it can open our eyes in ways that words cannot. (The film was almost totally silent in its presentation, with music seemingly the only form of communication.)
The haunting "Open the pod bay doors, Hal!"..."Open the pod bay doors, Hal!"... without an answer---long pause and then the haunting voice of the computer, Hal finally answers..."I'm sorry Dave; I'm afraid I can't do that."
I know it is a stretch because to this day no one can tell you what the movie was ... more
