The Longest Day
I find the months of May, June & July to be trying for me as we have Memorial Day, D-Day, Flag Day & July 4th. The memories of military school and service are at the foremost of my thoughts. 
On this day 75 years ago, 6 June 1944, over 4,000 men (Allied forces) lost their lives on the beaches of Normandy. Probably the most decisive battle and undertaking of the war in the European Theater. 
WE MUST NEVER FORGET AND WE, EACH, MUST BE FOUND WORTHY TO DIE FOR.
