A white swan symbolizes, purity, beauty, dignity, and wealth. A black swan is about the mysterious and the unknown.  
Nassim Nicholas Taleb reminds us that we are too quick to forget that just being alive is a blessing.  He goes on to talk about the ingrate who got a castle as a present and then complains of the mildew in the bathroom.  We should be grateful for everything we have. Enjoy life and the unknown it brings. After all, we are all black swans.
