My computer was down for 9 days and I survived. It was ugly.
My laptop computer was down for 9 days, and I survived. It was ugly. Actually, it was lovely. I did have business to conduct throughout that time, but through the magic of cellphones and tablet computers, I was able to continue on as if nothing happened. It was more difficult on those tools, but they worked nontheless.
Isn't it amazing how dependent we've become on technology? I've heard it said many times that if you live by technology, you die by technology, but today we have so many backups that we can seamlessly conduct business no matter what vehicle we can use.
I started in real estate just as the 8 inch thick MLS book was being phased out. I can't imagine doing a property search with one of those door-stops. Doing business on my tablet and cellphone did take a little getting familiar with, but once I had the hang of it, it was a breeze. If you haven't had the opportunity to use those vehicles to conduct business, I would encourage you to practice with them before you end up where I was a week ago.
