It's that time of year again when some folks want to celebrate their red, white, and blue with loud and colorful aerial displays. Washington is one of the states that still allows personal fireworks. However, not all fireworks are legal.
If you plan to buy fireworks, the Fire Marshall reminds you to purchase them at a licensed local stand. Fireworks prohibited in Clark County, Washington are sold in other states, and on tribal land. They include the following.

Generally speaking, many states define legal fireworks are non-aerial and non-explosive, such as novelties, fountains, and sparklers. Ironically, sparklers accounted for 28% of injuries from June 20 to July 20, 2014.
In Washington though, the list of legal fireworks is more expansive. Oregonians often drive over the Columbian river and purchase fireworks here, and illegally transport them back home.
