A Lot Gets Done When No One Cares Who Gets The Credit
For decades, my late father, Phil Carr, had this saying printed on a plain piece of copier paper above his desk at IBM in San Jose. It had some spots on it, and was slightly cockeyed. One could tell it had been copied and shared multiple times. Probably by the hard-working secretaries (even temp ones like me) who worked there.
"It's Amazing How Much
Work Gets Done ...
When No One Cares
Who Gets The Credit."
Can anyone else relate to this thought?
Too often, narrow-minded people take an attitude of "Not My Job".
In contrast, positive team players realize "It's All My Job."
I'm not advocating a workaholic lifestyle; more of "We're all in this together-we sink or swim together".
