These scam callers try to scare people to pay in order to keep the Social Security accounts from being frozen. Scammers will even claim that the person's Social Security number was linked to a serius crime scene. The Consumer Affairs wants people to know that the government agencies never make phone calls with threats to seize an account or to move money from one account to other.
