I didn't even hear the phone ring...
Over the last several months I've noticed a trend.  I've noticed that I have a voice-mail, and I didn't even hear the phone ring.
Now, neither of my kids would be surprised at that.  They claim I don't hear much, these days.  In fact I was walking with one of my girls, recently, and she said "Dad, you're phone is ringing".  It was in my jacket pocket, and I didn't hear it at all, but she did.  - heavy sigh - This 'aging' thing isn't for the timid.  But I digress.
On checking the voice-mail, I've found that the messages are all the same.  They are a marketing pitch from a company selling their product that allows you to send pre-recorded messages to your own list of mobile numbers, and here's the "kicker"... and their phones will never ring.... it will go straight to their voice-mail, and will not show up on their caller ID.  In order to find out who called, they'll have to listen the your message.
I admit, with the first call, I was intrigued, and listened through the full message.  They suggest that early adopters of new technology will make a killing using this new marketing technique.
