National Face Your Fears Day...What’s Yours?

Who isn’t afraid of something?  If you say you’re not, you’re just kidding yourself. We all have things, people, or situations that scare us. 
You’ve heard of Face your fears...and it’s true. 
 
Sometimes being afraid of something is the protective part of us that alerts us to be cautious, for whatever reason. 
 
I have always been afraid of heights. For example, I couldn’t climb up the deer blind on Larry’s lease. I feel like someone is going to push the EJECT button on my seat if we’re in a stadium sitting in the nosebleed section.
 
And you know those ads they have before the movies in the theater when the roller coaster takes you through photos of popcorn and candy?  Totally dizzyfying for me. And I’ll never again go over the Royal Gorge Bridge** in Colorado unless I’m drugged and unaware of my surroundings. 
 
However, so that I don’t go through life in total panic mode I found something that helps me...FOCUS.
