What CAN Happen When You Raise your Community Voice
       Last night the planning commission of the City of Greenfield held a meeting. Part of the meeting was to discuss the proposed development of "The Grove"....a 92 unit senior apartment complex on 12 Acres that wound thru an area of single family residences.  Traffic, noise, the destruction of woods and homes to wildlife would be the result of this development. In addition...the surrounding homes from three communities and 2 counties would, we believe, see a depreciation in the value of their homes as a result of this development. 
    Neighbors did not see this as the "highest and best use" of this land.  Our subdivision backs up to this area and we of course had concerns though the building itself would not be in the community in which we live, we had to reach into another city...another county to caution neighbors. Reach we did...calls. emails and letters to elected city officials. A first class mailing to hundreds of residents in the communities of New Berlin, Greenfield and Hales Corners.
    Twenty four hours before the planning commission meeting, the Developer requested an extension to present more details of his plan and was not present at the meeting. However...there were ... more
