Not a cookie-cutter anymore...
It's no secret that I am not a fan of cookie-cutter homes. I love individual charm. I love the history of older homes and the stories they tell. And I love authentic, original details.
But I also appreciate when (new) owners put their heart and soul into their property, cookie-cutter or not, and transform it into a one of a kind-home. Just like this center hall Colonial pictured below that I pass by frequently. Over the last year or so ( I can't remember when I first started noticing that things were happening, but it wasn't that long ago) I've witnessed its transformation from bland 1980s cookie-cutter to star of the street. Clearly, the new owners have been infusing their style and have turned a vision into reality.
I love what they've done! The grey siding complemented by the black shutters, the clean look, the stone retaining walls... it looks trendy and classic at the same time. The always up-to-date seasonal porch decor adds personality and warmth.
This home was transformed, from bland 1980s Colonial to star of the street. The pride of home ownership shows. Clearly, this is a labor of love, and not a cookie-cutter anymore! What do you think?
