Motivational Monday...Avoiding Added Pressure
 
Work is called work because that’s exactly what it is...work. No matter how much we may love what we do, there will always be something that causes us to be stressed. Transactions don’t always go as they should...clients serve up bumps in the road that we’d hoped to avoid. 
 
Some things can’t be avoided. When humans are involved you can count on things going wonkers. Throw in those things like the weather, computer and mechanical glitches and animals and goodness knows what can pop up.  
 
I saw a quote by one of my all-time favorites...Peyton Manning... 
 
Pressure is something you feel when you don't know what the hell you're doing. Peyton Manning
 
What???
 
I had to read this quote twice to understand it. Peyton is the consummate football professional. To me, he is saying that when you know your craft, study it well...know everything you can about it, you minimize the pressures and stress. You are going in prepared for whatever happens.
 
If you ever watched him play, you know that when he was on the sidelines, he was continuing to study recent photos of the game’s plays...seeing how his team moved and what his opponents were doing. This allowed him to make adjustments ... more
