No Trophies for doing your job.
I guess January is award season for actors, athletes and Realtors… don’t get me wrong I love you all. But I get a bit weary from the plaques, and trophies awarded for doing the job you were hired to do. I suppose it is no different than sports, when one gets rewarded for participating. But since I manage a boutique firm that caters to our clients… and we don’t hand out accolades like candy.
  I will have to share my success like the others but with out all the hardware. The last 12 months I closed 46 sales, at a gross dollar volume of $11,000,000 Average transaction $239,000 I am not part of a team…just little old me. While that price per sale isn’t anything like working in the big cities, we all know the small sales can be the hardest, and at the same time the most gratifying.  In closing I hope next year is even better than last, but in any case I will keep an eye on my fiduciary duty and do what is best for my clients. By the way I have been a full time licensed Realtor for 36 years…and the true reward for work well done ... more
