It Takes A Village To Sell A House

It takes a village to get your home prepared, photographed, on the market, listed, shown, under contract, closed, packed, and moved.  So many people may be involved. Start with the people who live there. Everyone has to be on board, which may include family, siblings, children, and parents.  When recent homeowners mentioned to their married children, they were talking with a Realtor®; these "kids" were not happy.
Who is the decision-maker? Who is the orchestra leader?
Now it's terrific if you are moving because you can afford a bigger, better home,  you are in a  successful relationship, enjoy job security, positive relationship change, and all those "happy ever after" events that occur.
But it is not always how our world works. Other situations can cause a need for a move. Among them are death, divorce, illness, forced retirement, job layoff, financial hardships... to name a few.
Some of the people in the village involved are the Real Estate Broker, accountant, attorney, an organizer, and contractors.
Needed are maintenance for both insides, outside, upside, and down. These may include a roofer, a hauler, a window washer, a painter, and various charities to donate.
Do you need help making the decision?
Do you need help deciding where to move?
Do you ... more
