American Heart Assoc. "Go Red For Women" in February
Did you know that heart disease affects thousands of women every year? Heart disease is referred to as the "silent killer" as many women don't even feel any symptoms. That's because women experience heart attacks much differently than men.
For 18 years, the American Heart Association's held the Go Red For Women campaign every February to raise awareness about heart disease and strokes in women. 
To support this event, simply wear red to show support for the Go Red For Women campaign.
Heart disease and strokes kill one in three women every year and are often referred to as the "silent killers." Fortunately, in the past 10+ years great strides have been made in raising awareness that heart disease and strokes are the #1 disease affecting women.
