You can up your SERPs on your blogs and webs doing one simple thing...
Well, maybe one or two simple things!
Google, Bing and Yahoo search are constantly scouring the web to see who has fresh content and who doesn't.  When something is altered or added to, you get some points for that.  The points can add up when you do it more often!
Adding a photo or retagging photos is one simple way of showing the algo-bots that you are alive and kicking.  It shows that content is changing and being refreshed.
Rewriting a few paragraphs or adding another few lines to any blog or written content also is a positive sign and will improve your ranking on  SERPS (Search Engine Result Pages)
Here is a bonus 'thing to do'.  In your blogs or webs, add hyperlinks from one page to OTHER relevant blogs and internal content on other pages.  Really helps your ranking!  Look at news web sites.  They all have hyperlinks to previous posts and related articles.  It's informative and offers relevant details.  Here is an example:
