Success! 2 Day Appraiser Course Completed!
The US Green Building Council, Arizona Chapter, volunteers just completed hosting Introduction to Green Building and Case Studies in Appraising Green Residential Buildings March 12, 13 in Flagstaff, Courtesy of the Northern Arizona Association of REALTORS (NAAR). A big thank you to NAAR for keeping us in coffee, paper plates and paper towels - not to mention the bathrooms!
 
As a volunteer, hosting these courses for USGBC, it's a privilege and an honor to raise the bar for home values in Arizona.  This is the fourth time the classes have been hosted in Arizona.  Having sat through all of them as a volunteer, I can attest to the education and our knowledgeable instructor!
 
In order to host these courses, funds must be raised to the tune of at least $8,000.  Getting sponsors for this type of education is never easy and takes months of time to organize to ensure that the instructor can fit it into her schedule, air fare time slots will work, logistics, ordering the books to ship, online regstration page, and contracts signed.  
 
 
Now that these appraisers have taken 2 of the 4 courses required to be on the list of "green" appraisers, our volunteers are set on the next date ... more
