New Home Sales February 2020
On March 24, 2020, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the U.S. Census Bureau reported nationwide new single family home sales declined 4.4% to an annual rate of 765,000 homes in February of 2020 from 800,000 homes in January of 2020, but jumped 14.3% from in February of 2019 an annual rate of 669,000 homes.
The median new home sold value was $345,900, while the average sales price was $403,800 in February of 2020. There were estimated 319,000 new houses for sale, and 5.0 months supplies of available inventory at the end of February of 2020.
