Lawrence Welk..................
Wonderful,wonderful...........I remember listening to that voice say this when I was a kid. My parents always watched the Lawrence Welk Show. If you are too young to remember this, Lawrence was an old guy who had an orchestra, played the accordion and had a weekly variety show. He was a good dancer too and often danced the polka with one of his supporter people.
Those were the days when life was easy, uncomplicated and made sense. I am thinking about this now because I am yearning for better times and familiar people. The Lawrence Welk show is on PBS re-runs and I watch and remember when I see it. I am missing my folks a lot these days. Oh how I wish, I could pick up the phone and hear their voices. Alas I can not, but I am calling many folks I haven't spoken to in some time.
Time to think is a luxury I haven't enjoyed in some time. Now I have the time to remember the best and straddle the rest. Have a good day.
