 Most people don’t worry too much about the type of home heating source when then they first buy a house. If you’re like most people, you’re far more worried about things like roof condition, square footage, and the number of bathrooms.
The question about which home heating source you should use typically comes later. Maybe you stuck with the electric heating that came with the house at first. Then a hard winter rolls in and you watch your utility bills soar.

1. Environmentally Friendly
While propane comes from fossil fuel sources, it’s much more environmentally friendly than most other home heating sources. It produces far fewer environmentally harmful byproducts than other fossil fuels. That makes propane an excellent replacement for traditional heating sources like fuel oil and firewood.
2. Cost
If your home comes equipped with electric heating, you’ll likely see a decrease in your home heating costs with propane.
