New Home Sales March 2020
On April 23, 2020, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the U.S. Census Bureau reported nationwide new single family home sales declined 15.4% to an annual rate of 627,000 homes in March of 2020 from 741,000 homes in February of 2020, and dropped 9.5% from in March of 2019 an annual rate of 693,000 homes.
The median new home sold value was $321,400, while the average sales price was $375,300 in March of 2020. There were estimated 333,000 new houses for sale, and 6.4 months supplies of available inventory at the end of March of 2020.
