This week’s minor miracle…
For the past several weeks my printer has been acting up. Sometimes it picked up two sheets of paper at a time, printing part of a page on one and part of the page on the other. It was annoying, but since most of what I print is for my own reference, I could live with it.
Then last week it started making noises and I started getting error messages. I thought there might be paper stuck in the works, but if so, I couldn’t see it. Finally, it quit. If I tried to print, all I got was the noise.
I started researching printers, and the one I decided I wanted was out of stock until the 25th. So I bought some ink for an old printer – one that just prints. No scanner or copier.
Just on a whim I asked my husband if he’d take the “broken” printer to the shop and take it apart gently – to see if perhaps there was a scrap of paper stuck inside where I couldn’t see it.
He took it to the shop, but instead of taking it apart right away, he turned on the compressor and blew out “a boatload” of dust and dirt.
