Besides location, price, wants and needs, there's something else to consider when buying a new house. INTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS Light fixtures don't have to be expensive but if it's the same light fixtures since the year the house was built a decade or more ago, it's easy to think the house needs to be updated. A Seller is closing the door behind. A Buyer is opening up a new door! Let there be light. Make it interesting. New lights are a cost-effective way to update rooms. Hardware are the jewels on wooden cabinetry. Where there is water, there is likely to be worn out cabinets. When it comes to finishes the eyeballs are like magnets - flaws show up big and seem to stare back at Buyers. Sinks and faucets - let them shine without dishes, small appliances, and distractions. Fresh, clean, harmonious floor designs that flow tends to do better than rooms that are choppy. Very dark or very bright colors can turn buyers away. Window treatments are subjective but Buyers approve glass they can see through. Once the buyer gets behind the closed door, they are curious about what's outside.
