Morris Richard Jeppson
Morris Richard Jeppson was born in Logan, Utah back in 1922.  He studied physics at the University of Nevada, Reno.  At the age of 19 he enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps.  His basic training was in Florida, he received additional training at Yale University, Harvard and MIT. 
In 1945, he received the Silver Star.  After being discharged he worked at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California.  Later in his career, he helped develop several key technological breakthroughs including microwave technology as well as stabilizers used on helicopters.  He died in 2010, he was 87.
What you may not know about Morris is that while serving in the Army Air Corp he was an assistant weaponeer on the Enola Gay.  He was the last person to touch “Little Boy” before it was dropped on the city of Hiroshima, Japan on August 6th, 1945.
