The Golden Rule and Competition
To live by the golden rule means that we must imagine ourselves in another's position.  How else can we treat others as we would have them treat us?    To really live by the Golden Rule involves consideration of and empathy with everyone that we come into contact with.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.  Some actions are readily evident but what about things like thinking? How do we bring our thinking into line with the golden rule.  How should I think about someone that has done ill to me?
I believe that first we have to imagine ourselves as being them.  If I had done someone wrong, what would I want the person to do that I had mistreated? Then we can step back into our side of the rule and treat that person the way that we would want to be treated if we were in their shoes.  It's not always easy. 
Do we live by the Golden Rule as we deal with out competition? I should think that all Christian real estate agents would, but I've seen some pretty cut-throat stuff between agencies with both sides claiming to be Christian.
