In The South, We Deep Fry!
Though the title may be a bit over the top, there is a funny and often heard saying that everything tastes good deep fried! While I will take the word of the more adventurous epicureans, I do enjoy the occasional evening filled with artery clogging deep fried veggies! It may seem a bit ironic that I would slice up some of my wonderful organic veggies and drop them in boiling oil! Ironic, but tasty!
There really isn't much of a recipe! If you check out the following picture you will see just how easy this is!

There are of course the fresh veggies! In the picture you can see green tomatoes, a variety of peppers, and zucchini. I also deep fried squash and okra. Before I proceed, you can marinade the veggies in whatever spices you choose. If you use a dry spice and liquid combination, or just a liquid marinade, I would recommend keeping the veggies refrigerated while marinading for about 20 minutes! FYI, I did not use a marinade and the fresh taste of the veggies was incredible.
