Here we go again, Mark goes off on a tangent that has nothing to do with real estate in Vancouver Washington. Or does it?*
The weather has been great here in Vancouver Washington. Blue skies. Warm temps. The only thing that could possibly make it better is that my kids have come up from California to visit me! Perfect timing for the weather as we are having a great Vancouver summer.
The trick for me when the kids are in town is keeping them entertained. At 7 and 11 years old, they can be quite a handful when they get bored. It can also be rather expensive to try to entertain them with the traditional methods; movies, lunches at restaurants, amusement parks, etc. Although we did a few of the pay to play sites in town (Clark County Fair, Kidsclub, and OMSI) I decided that more wholesome activities might be just as much fun and considerably less expensive.
I would have never guessed that it might be as simple as picking berries. Anyone who has ever visited Vancouver Washington probably knows that we have a lot of berries. Heck, they grow like weeds on the side ... more
