New Senate Bailout Bill to Cost Us More for Healthcare Also
Well, apparantly the Senate is not content to hit those few of us that pay taxes with other higher costs. Their latest 450 page version of the bailout plan also included the requirement for insurance companies to provide mental health treatment—such as hospitalization—on parity with physical illnesses.
I am not against mental heath treatment (I think it needs to start in those hallowed halls in the Capital Building first) however, it does not belong in this bill. Just like other bills that can't get passed on their own merits they have stuck this onto another bill that has a better chance of passing.
They realize that this will cost us more money, both out of our pockets directly and in taxes. But, it doesn't really matter to them it appears.
