Do football playoff games or "holidays" affect turnout at Open Houses
The last two weeks I held open houses on a new listing we had. I was questioned whether it was a good idea to hold an Open House when there were playoff games. Well the first weekend, Eagles vs Giants game started at 1 PM we had ten groups through between 2 and 4 PM. Last week Eagles at Arizona game started at 3 PM we had eight groups through in the same time.
So it did not seem to affect numbers of visitors and no one seemed surprised we were open. Trudy held an open on mothers day last year for another listing we had at the time, all our sons have left home, and was amazed at the number of people who came through, about 18 groups in this case a lot of family groups together.
So what have you found? Do holidays and playoff games affect your turnout? Do you avoid holding open houses when there are holidays or playoff games for teams in your region or area?
