AR charges fees, so why not Twitter and Facebook too?
After all, it is all about the money, so show me the money, right?  So I've heard the outcry over the new fees on Active Rain, how you're supposed to "invest in your business" and post a blog on AR that 99% of people don't read and don't care about except maybe other Agents/brokers.  AR is the internet's best kept secret!  No one I know has heard of it except other agents/brokers.  But other agents/brokers aren't my business, clients are.  So really, do I need agents reading and following my blog?  Nope, I need prospects to read it!  And because mainly brokers and agents are found on AR, not prospects, this won't help my business and fees won't work!  I am not going to pay to blog when I can do it for free elsewhere.  Clients/leads/prospects are out on the mainstream social media (free sites) and if you blog for free, isn't that a more sensible investment in your web presence?  Blog where someone would see it?  So what it comes down to, do I want other agents to read my blog or do I want potential clients to read my blog?  And no worries, AR is making money, they're called ads.  So join the latest craze on free ... more
