Meet Awesome Cloud. In Santa Fe, NM when clouds come over the mountains, they have a different story to tell. This cloud appeared over the Sangre de Cristo Mountain range on a day in late July. It was not a typical cloud by any means. It was a cloud created by the movement of the Hermits Peak & Calf Canyon fire still burning far to the east of Santa Fe. Two weeks ago, fire crews were still cleaning up the land and northern New Mexico communities damaged and in some places destroyed.
