santa fe historic plaza: Santa Fe Real Estate: Wanted - Short Term Rental Investors - 03/05/12 11:12 AM
Why Invest In Santa Fe Short Term Rental Properties Today?

One of the niche markets for investors in Santa Fe real estate is short term rental properties. Why? Santa Fe is a destination market and very much in demand by visitors on vacation. Many prefer to have a more authentic experience of the Santa Fe lifestyle rather than a week in a ubiquitous hotel room. Consequently, most savvy investors seeking to purchase either condominium property, or town home or even a small casita near our Historic Plaza ask if the home can be rented as a short term rental.Short … (3 comments)

santa fe historic plaza: Pico Mundo Grill Opens In Santa Fe - 05/25/11 03:59 PM

The Santa Fe Plaza and its infamous Plaza Cafe in the same spot since 1904 changed its name this week to the Pico Mundo Grill and moved without moving to the fictional town of Pico Mundo, California. This can only happen in the movies and that was exactly what was happening as the filming for Odd Thomas took our historic Santa Fe Plaza. By simply turning a corner, I was in a imaginary town.
The movie stars in this Dean Kootz story keeps growing beyond Anton Yelchin to now include Willem DeFoe and 50 Cent. If you were on the … (4 comments)

santa fe historic plaza: A Different Kind Of Market Is Coming Soon... - 05/23/11 03:27 PM

One of the great things about real estate is that it is a people business. Where ever you find a crowd of people, the odds are you will find a Realtor. You can find me in this crowd on Santa Fe's Historic Plaza behind the camera. One of the great things about selling real estate in Santa Fe is the way crowds of people can often be found on our historic Plaza. On this day, there was one of the many markets that happen here from June to the end of Fiesta in September. Here is a short list of … (7 comments)

santa fe historic plaza: Santa Fe Plaza Springs To Life - 04/03/11 08:03 AM

Santa Feans know spring is here when the Santa Fe Historic Plaza comes alive again. Four-hundred and one years later, it remains the meet and greet destination for visitors, locals, vendors, dog walkers and people watchers of every age, size and shape. For most of our four centuries of history, the Plaza has been both the heart and pulse of Santa Fe's outdoor social life.
You will have to use your imagination to see the Plaza in 1610 when it was a military presidio or the hear the sounds of the horses and wagon trains rolling into this end of … (13 comments)

santa fe historic plaza: Susana Martinez First Latina Governor In USA - 01/02/11 05:00 AM
This morning's Santa Fe New Mexican headline "Limitless New Mexico" captured the spirit of our State's first Latina Governor, Susana Martinez and our endless possibilities. Our Historic Santa Fe Plaza witnessed the first inauguration of New Mexico's first Woman Governor and our country's first elected Latina Governor. The headline sparked my imagination on this very chilly Santa Fe morning and reminded me of our endless blue sky and optimism in our community in spite of the challenges. It is all about vision and how we respond to the challenges change brings in every community this new year.

santa fe historic plaza: Fiesta de Santa Fe 298th Now - 09/08/10 04:13 PM

Fiesta begins at Noon on Friday, September 10th and is opened officially by the State and City on our Historic Plaza.  Now after nearly 300 years, the cultural traditions of music, dance and song are about to come alive for three days to celebrate our 298th year of hospitality and acceptance of our rich and diverse cultural and spiritual heritage. When Fiesta begins, everything else stops. The Fiesta ends … (2 comments)
