Over the years I have had several clients participate in a 1031 exchange when purchasing a home on the Vineyard. A client sells an investment property in one location and exchanges it for an investment property on the Vineyard while deferring taxes from the first sale via a 1031 exchange. I have put together a variety of listings priced under $450K. This is considered the "starter" end of the market on the Island. Most of the homes we see in this price range are condos. There are some smaller single family homes also. We are seeing more quality offerings than ever before at this end of the market. As always there are quiet a few fixer uppers on the market, a good opportunity for those who are handy but not for the faint of heart.
