shopping: Blue Friday in my household today!

Blue Friday in my household today. I woke up this morning to a beautiful morning with not a cloud in the clear blue skies. I thought of all the people that stood in long lines to get those door buster deals....some were lucky, many were not. I think "Black Friday" is a good name for the event.....sure to put you in a sour and black mood. So glad I kept my resolve and did not get swept up in the hype. … (0 comments)

Please don't shop on Thanksgiving! It is bad enough that Christmas decorations and gifts appear along with Halloween candy, but now many large retailers are choosing to open their doors on Thanksgiving Day. This policy is so disrespectful of employees and their families. As a Realtor, I already work most weekends which takes me away from my family so holidays are especially meaningful....there are professions that have to work - hospital staff, firefighters, police just to name a few. I for one will choose to shop at businesses who appreciate their employees and allow them to enjoy a much needed holiday. … (0 comments)
