spring snows hit denver tulips: Spring Snows in Denver blanket blooming flowers

Yes, I know it is May 12 and I should be unpacking shorts and t-shirts so I can work in the garden. But, in the grand fashion of life in Denver, we were treated to a cold, wet snowfall last night. The foothills west of town received 10 inches to 2 feet....here in Lakewood, we got about 3-4 inches. I am sure glad that flowering bulbs such as tulips are pretty hardy. Another storm is expected to hit tonight, just in time for my scheduled mountain showings tomorrow morning....keeping my boots and an extra coat in the car just makes good … (17 comments)
