This post was inspired by Debe Maxwell, CRS request for my recipe of a Clam Chowder. My take is a combination of Uber Chef Jasper White's corn chowder and I add clams from Wild Fork to improve it and I also add some carrots. Hence it becomes my recipe:) Debe Maxwell, CRS keep in mind I do not use bacon or anything with bacon so that is a difference of my chowder. Also, I stopped adding corn starch to thicken the soup, instead I crush some potatoes to thickn it. Bon Appetite!

Wordless Wednesdays: Soup again...corn chowder with a twist... well I decided to add tomatoes, basil, potatoes and langostinos. Keep in mind the fresh basil and the hidden ingredients, onions, basil, carrots and celery made the difference. Diane mentioned wow this is different variation from how you usually make it: What is the difference? Well, I opted for Kettle & Fire low sodium chicken broth with a taste of heavy cream. Needless to say, the fresh corn had the focus and was not overpowered by salt or salty chicken stock. It was a winner, so with that said let me know your thoughts.

Chicken Corn Chowder: TEXAS Style...modified. as most of you who read my posts regularly know, that Diane & I gave up bacon and anything with pork related. Then to booth she had some issues so we gave up spicy food as well. This turned out a blessing in disguise, because we cut back on salt as well. Hence we actually can taste the food, not being overpowered by spices and salt. Now with that said as most of you know I believe if you make one recipe from a cookbook the book is paid for.
