Friday Funday: I thought how about a fun dinner....
I always cruise the Internet, and I saw someone post a recipe for baked cabbage. Loved the idea and it so happened I had cabbage in the fridge as well as I always have olive oil.
Now I thought this would go well with bake Argentinian Red Shrimp.
Then I figured how about some great Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Bisquists to accompany the dinner

Wordless Wednesdays: Citrus Tree pruning in the back yard... Diane decided to prune the trees. Needless to say, she has been coordinating with our Gardner to do this. Hence, I was stuck dealing with them.
They showed up in the afternoon while I was in the middle of keeping one deal together and negotiating two other deal.
Next thing I know is they are putting cut branches into the "trash" barrel after they filled the "Green Barrel." after they left, I was trying to salvage many of the oranges. Clearly you know for future Orange Juice....

Speechless Sunday: Double Done's with a few extras... I have always had extra food to prepare for a later meal. Needless to say, I made baked potatoes and kept them in the fridge for making a different meal.
Well today I thought it would be fun to use my left-over baked potatoes as "Double Dones" and add the leftover vegies from the other day to it. Now with that said I needed to have some meat with it as well.

Friday for good Catholic is always fish for dinner... I have grown up as an Altar Boy, Catholic Grammar Schools and Catholic High School. Diane has grown up as a good Italian Catholic so having Fish on Friday is pretty much an understood.
Instead of the standard baked/fried fish sticks and baked/fried potatoes I opted for baked Salmon with baked vegies and mashed potatoes.

Well, when Diane is at work in her office, (once a week and not working from home), you can see what the animals are doing in the house. Well as you can see, the sleeping photos are an indication that I am the only one at home working from home and clearly, I am boring just focusing on client calls and emails.

Speechless Sundays: If you think cats do not communicate, clearly you have not been exposed to cats. Now with that said, Jill has been coming up to me in my home office... talking, yelling and I ignored her.... then I went in the kitchen and look at the main photo.
The empty hole is where she would eat kibble. Lately she has been on various medication and has some teeth pulled on top, hence she has become a fan of wet food and prefers wet food over kibble. Well, see for yourself.

Speechless Sundays: Observations from a pet friendly Realtor in Los Angeles, CA. Well, it was five years ago today that we picked up Holly from an animal rescue organization. The main photo is her in the back seat of my car.
Many days and nights have passed, and she had to make the adjustment to hang out with three cats and her two humans.
She learned to hang out with her humans and thought it was safer there:)
Needless to say, she got comfortable over the weeks and months and years.

Speechless Sunday: what did you have for dinner? We had swordfish with mashed potatoes and a vegetable mixture of Lacinato Kale, spinach and mushrooms.
Easy to make, you bake the Swordfish with a little olive oil, garlic, lemon juice and lemon zest. Oh, and do not forget a little garlic and some onions ( I love sweet onions)
While you are baking the fish, the vegies are boiling in bone broth.
Then the mashed potatoes were from flakes so easy to make:)

Speechless Sundays: Have you ever had Grillo's Pickles?... all I could say is if you never had it, you are missing out. In all fairness it has a kick to it so if you do not like or cannot have spicey food, this is not for you.

Wordless Wednesdays: Soup again...corn chowder with a twist... well I decided to add tomatoes, basil, potatoes and langostinos. Keep in mind the fresh basil and the hidden ingredients, onions, basil, carrots and celery made the difference.
Diane mentioned wow this is different variation from how you usually make it: What is the difference? Well, I opted for Kettle & Fire low sodium chicken broth with a taste of heavy cream.
Needless to say, the fresh corn had the focus and was not overpowered by salt or salty chicken stock.

As most of you, who read my posts regularly know, that Jack used to be in my home office, while I worked every day, he would give me support. Since December 2022 he has crossed Rainbow Bridge.
Holly started to hang out with me to give me support in the home office. Wiley comes in once in a while to let me know he wants to eat and so does Jill.

Speechless Sunday: Diane finally got to read in her chair, as most of you who read my posts saw, that she bought a new reading chair. Unfortunately, she could not read in it, because either Wiley or Jill would take possession of the chair...
Finally, she was able to test it out and she assured me that it very comfortable, and she could even take a nap in it:)

September 11, 2001: A Day we swore we will never forget. It hard for me to believe, that it has been 22 years since that infamous day. I still remember it clear as yesterday when one of our friends/clients called us in the morning and said turn the TV on.
The rest of the story you all know, it resonates with me as much as I am sure with generations before about December 7th, 1941.
Totally unprovoked attack on our soil. Sadly, Diane had a client who succumbed to this attack.

What to do when you have a little leftover rice?... well I decided to get some fresh Ahi Tuna and see for yourself how about a Tuna Poke?
Well as you can see it is easy to make just throw some Avocado, tomatoes and somecucumbers on the edge of the plate.
Then zap the rice in the microwave so it does not feel cold rather is at room temperature. Clearly you are almost there. While you are making the dish marinate the Tuna and then pour it on top. Dinner is ready in virtually no time.

The front of the house the side of the house and even in the back side of the house too.
I am so thankful for the previous owner who planted them. I am also grateful for our Gardners who have been maintaining them for the past nine years.
