Throwback Thursdays: went to an open house in 2012 I took a few pictures, because I had a hard time appreciating the benefits of this sign. here we are and I am still wondering. Now with that said 12 years later I still scratch my head what were the sellers thinking and what the benefit was?
Clearly the listing agent could not convince them to remove it for the Open House.
Basically, everywhere I went I saw the same signs, was this a Freudian slip, that one of the sellers did not really want to sell? Let me know your thoughts.

We have always supported small businesses, not just on the official "Small Saturdays", but all year long.
Thanks to John Pusa he reminded me that Vroman's celebrated their 130th year in business. How incredible is that? Now we could not go when the actual celebration was during the middle of the week, but we were thrilled to come our first opportunity.

Speechless Sunday: Hard to believe it has been eight days since Diane and I have been to the POINT. The POINT is a shopping mall in El Segundo, CA. not your typical shopping mall.
Lots of outdoor space and even play area for kids and their parents. It is very small with lots of parking spaces and even a few Restaurants to enjoy.
I just preferred watching and taking some pictures. Hence tonight I decided to share here.

Wordless Wednesdays: I finally found the "New Dinah's Restaurant"... as those of you who read my posts consistently might remember that Dinah's Restaurant was forced to relocate because of some underhanded dealings and reneging of promises by the developer.
(This was the old place)
The history according to their website is much kinder describing it:
Established in Los Angeles in 1959, Dinah's Family Restaurant quickly became a beloved neighborhood fixture and a cherished cornerstone of the community. In 2024, due to city development, the restaurant transitioned to Dinah's Kitchen and moved a few blocks down to preserve its legacy.

Friday for good Catholic is always fish for dinner... I have grown up as an Altar Boy, Catholic Grammar Schools and Catholic High School. Diane has grown up as a good Italian Catholic so having Fish on Friday is pretty much an understood.
Instead of the standard baked/fried fish sticks and baked/fried potatoes I opted for baked Salmon with baked vegies and mashed potatoes.

March always comes around quickly after the short month of February although we did have an extra day with leap year. Still, here we are already in the final month of the first quarter of 2024.
This month I'll touch on the conflicting information out there on the real estate market, inflation and the economy. A good example is that I recently read in one news outlet that inflation is hovering at 3.9 %; yet another stated 7.9%. FurryFriendsFriday : this post was inspired by Debe Maxwell, CRS , Diane and I were having dinner and needless to say I had to stop and take a couple of photos to share with you all tonight.
Our pets are amazing, Holly was on the poof and Jill decided she wanted to squeeze in on the small corner.
Needless to say Wiley did not want to be left out and he took the larger corner. Well Holly did not growl or cause a fuss. Instead, all three relaxed and waited until we finished dinner.

Holly started to hang out with me to give me support in the home office. Wiley comes in once in a while to let me know he wants to eat and so does Jill.

Speechless Sunday: Diane finally got to read in her chair, as most of you who read my posts saw, that she bought a new reading chair. Unfortunately, she could not read in it, because either Wiley or Jill would take possession of the chair...
Finally, she was able to test it out and she assured me that it very comfortable, and she could even take a nap in it:)

Speechless Sunday: Last minute Christmas Shopping in Manhattan Beach, CA Diane needed a few more things for friends, so we drove to Manhattan Beach, CA to our favorite Bookstore: Pages.
Diane was shocked I did not want to go into the store.... I opted to walk Holly around the neighborhood and found these fun moments that I am sharing here.
Now keep in mind Manhattan Beach is smart and gives free parking during the holidays so you can shop your heart out:)).
