In case you were wondering why I had only been on AR in a very limited basis....well I took five and a half days off. My best friend and his wife came visiting from Dublin, Ireland... Three days running around showing off Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Marina Del Rey, Hollywood, Downtown and the list goes on and on...
Followed by two and a half days in San Francisco, they are back in Dublin and we are home. So with that said check out this photo: Order has been restored....

My friend Dick Greenberg is having a contest and it is about "real life" to submit a picture or pictures. Well it is not easy to do that... for the past who knows how many days ,I have been going through thousands of photos. In my observations most of my if not all of my pictures are winners, now to choose a few from there was the hard part.
I clearly understand what the judges will be going through. After all my soul searching I decided these are the winners.

First, I must say I am grateful just to be able to post my fourth day in a row about being ’Grateful’. Taking into consideration the crazy day I had, I did not have the confidence, that I could do this today. It is not about what to write, rather it is about finding the time to write. Debbie Reynolds thank you for challenging me to do this ten days in a row.
Internally I am always very appreciative and grateful for what we have in our lives. Now today I will focus on our ‘Animal Farm’.

Life is not as perfect as we portray it… I have been writing about the perfect transition of Wiley from the backyard into our household. You have seen some photos where I have been projecting how harmonious this week has been.
As it turns out Jill was not as pleased about the new family member and has been expressing a different view point. She has vocalized her dissatisfaction and requested equal time.
Hence we interviewed her and took this picture. Clearly she is pleased we chose to express her viewsJ)))))

Wiley & Jill: A work in Progress that seems to be moving at the speed of light....
Every since Wiley was incorporated into our household Jill was a bit hostile to the new addition. Hissing, guttural growls and a couple swats were all indication that she did not like the idea. Wiley has been pretty laid back about the hostile welcome.
He was thrilled to be petted in the morning, in the afternoon as well as in the evening. He has received more affection from his humans in three days combined than in the past six months while he was outside in the … (29 comments)

Instant Pain Relief for your pet....as those of you who read my post regularly know that I take my assistant in for massages, accupunture and the list goes on and on. Needless to say we would not be doing this if it did not help and clearly surgery is not an option for a 14 year old dog in my mind.
Well Diane and I have our own pains so when I saw this poster I had to ask: what about for humans? Sadly she did not think it was FDA or who ever approves it for humans:))))))

As most of you know my assistant is 13+ years old, so we started to make his life easier and he goes once a week for PT and some additional strengthening exercises. Needless to say after I pick him up, the Vet suggested I should ice his back for about 10 minutes or so.
Well look at this picture and tell me that he does not appreciate the ice on his back?:)

There is a coup d'etat happening in the DeJoie/ Barath house hold...
As most of you who have been following my blog post know that the Heir to the Throne has taken his rightful place. No coaxing by us... just one day decided that it was TIME! (The king vacated the throne this past August 20th to be exact)
Needless to say the Kingdom has made adjustments... there were a few clearly fought Territorial battles in the Master Bedroom and quietly uneventfully the Throne was take over by the Heir to the Throne Jackie.

Those of you who follow my blog posts on a consistent basis know that we lost the battle in trying to save Douggy aka King Douglas. He was a superb cat with many ailments and we managed to keep him around for nearly twelve years…

In case you did not know it The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) was established in 2002 in New Brunswick Canada. They in turn designated August 8, as International Cat Day. Some people know it as World Cat Day! Just amazing what twelve to thirteen years can do for a Good Cause!
