hungarian speaking realtor in beverly hills: 0 Vac/Vic Avenue T12/180 Ste Ave Black Butte CA 93591: Accepting Backup Offers... - 04/18/24 10:14 PM
0 Vac/Vic Avenue T12/180 Ste Ave Black Butte CA 93591: Accepting Backup Offers... I am super proud of this transaction. First my niche market being a Land Listing and Selling Agent in California and second niche being International Realtor who speaks German & Hungarian got me the listing.
Just to be clear in 29+ years this is my smallest list priced vacant lot. I hear my father in the back of my head: Every Dollar is a Dollar!
So, with that said what is even more exciting that I told the sellers we need to plan on a year or so to sell … (16 comments)

hungarian speaking realtor in beverly hills: Wordless Wednesdays: Technology/AI is not your friend... - 01/31/24 10:45 PM
Wordless Wednesdays: Technology/AI is not your friend... I have been reading a lot of posts thanks to this month's Active Rain Challenge about AI. I wrote a diplomatic post about it.
Well, this is not about the Challenge, this happened today.  To give you a background for those who do not know I was born in Communist Hungary where the government tried to control people's thought process and I see today technology is trying to do the same. So, with that said be forewarned and be careful. Look at the photos and I will just leave it at that.
When Diane and I … (23 comments)

hungarian speaking realtor in beverly hills: Wordless Wednesdays: What is the secret to ethnic cooking?... - 01/10/24 10:19 PM
Wordless Wednesdays:  What is the secret to ethnic cooking? knowing the history, knowing the spices, being familiar with the seasonings and the various techniques of how to make certain dishes.
I am so grateful that I have Hungarian cookbooks that my mother had and the ones she inherited from her mother aka my grandmother.
Just to be clear my cooking style is very Global, and the focus is mostly on seafood, fish and Italian Sauces.
I have cookbooks from every ethnicity, may it be Asian, Middle Eastern or European I have it. I have also learned not to tell Diane what I will make … (23 comments)

hungarian speaking realtor in beverly hills: Wishing you and your loved ones a very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2024! - 12/31/23 03:21 PM
Wishing you and your loved ones a very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year!
Hungarian tradition is, that if you eat lentil soup on the 1st of January, abundance will come your way Since Lentils symbolize money coming your way for the coming year.
As many of you know, I lived my first ten years of my life in Hungary and this tradition has stayed with me even to the present day.
“…Fierce and proud, the Hungarians have convinced the world that their culture is as impregnable as their language...not when it comes to Hungarian cuisine...it is basically straightforward, using for the most part … (31 comments)

hungarian speaking realtor in beverly hills: Crazy English: Oh boy I can relate to this... - 10/19/21 11:01 PM
Crazy English: Oh boy I can relate to this one. FYI one of our Active Rain friends recently posted about this very subject. So with that said I had to grab the book that has been sitting on top of all the other books waiting  for me to read.... (Keep in mind I had the book since 1989).
I guess it is never too late to pick it up for the second time. Interestingly, then to boot I had cut out an article in 1996 that Ann Landers wrote and was inside the book. Well see for yourself...
Ironically I had a Yellow … (15 comments)

hungarian speaking realtor in beverly hills: Have you had Gingerbread Cookies? A European tradition or addiction? - 12/21/18 11:59 PM
Have you had Gingerbread Cookies? A European tradition or addiction?
Well I admit it I am a Gingerbread Cookie Addict. I look forward every year when Trader Joe’s brings the two types of Gingerbread Cookies, one that are covered with dark chocolate and the other with the glazed sugar. I have introduced Diane to it many years ago and she looks forward to it as much as I do.
Gingerbread cookies are  around  all year in Hungary, I remember eating them at every function you can imagine, weddings, birthdays, Easter and of course at Christmas. Most of the cookies were a piece of … (40 comments)

hungarian speaking realtor in beverly hills: Do you know where the Statue of Anonymus is? - 11/06/16 12:52 PM
Do you know where the Statue of Anonymus is?
No I did not misspell his name Anonymous vs. Anonymus, does that give you a hint?

Ok It is in ‘The City Park’, in the courtyard of Vajdahunyad Castle. If that is not a good enough hint, well let me tell you ‘The City Park’ is a public park close to the center of Budapest, Hungary. It is a rectangle with about 302 acres and is in the XIV District of Budapest. In case you were wondering the Hungarian spelling of Anonymous is Anonymus.
So, who was he, you might wonder? Well, he was the first … (3 comments)

Hungarian Cooking: The Secret is demystified by Endre Barath, Jr.
So, what is the secret to Hungarian cooking? This question comes up occasionally when I am not discussing Los Angeles Real Estate. Strictly, because the people I socialize with, know that I was born in Hungary and I love to cook.
The answer is easy; it is all about history and culture. The cooking is basically straight forward and all the ingredients are available as well as the techniques are simple and traditional.
I have a large library of cookbooks from all over the world and specifically a few from Hungary as well as … (16 comments)

hungarian speaking realtor in beverly hills: Do you really expect a call back right now? How late do you think... - 08/30/15 03:30 PM
Do you really expect a call back right now? How late do you think is appropriate to call a fellow Realtor?
OK let me clarify my question, first of all, you are not in escrow with this Realtor. Second you never spoke to this Realtor and third, you do not know this Realtor.
Then you receive a message: “…Oh I just realized how late it is 10:00pm …call me back I know you speak Hungarian…” also you  do not let the person know what the subject is about outside of the fact that it involves a skill I have and you  may or … (52 comments)

hungarian speaking realtor in beverly hills: What language do you speak: Buyer's, Seller's or your own? - 11/05/12 03:52 PM
What language do you speak: Buyers, Sellers or your own?
I find that in a Real Estate Transaction we have too many parties that have their own language. I am a big believer of keeping things simple. I understand that abbreviations are great for the people who do similar functions day in and day out. Title Officers, Escrow Officers, Lenders and Realtors they all have their own language.

Now let’s get realistic the buyers consist of first time buyers, buyers who are moving up, buyers who are downsizing. There have been studies done that generally a Real Estate transaction … (13 comments)
