Small World Books: The Bookstore on the Boardwalk in Venice CA, my regular readers might remember I have written about this great independent bookstore before. It is such a great place right on the beach hidden in plain sight next to where all the tourist go to see Muscle Beach and all the freak shows.
Not only is this an Independent bookstore but they are pet friendly. Needless to say the cat in the picture is the main attraction. She was rescued from the Shelter by the Lange Foundation ( langefoundation.org ) and was adopted by … (4 comments)

Bank of Books, Malibu, CA 90265
As many independent bookstores and chain bookstores have been closing over the years it is a pleasure to report that another independent bookstore has opened in Malibu, CA and is going on their sixth month of existence!
I was at Point Dume in Malibu and needed a great cup of coffee and look what I found as a bonusJ. The best part is after a bit of research I discovered that not only do they sell used but new books as well. Since Malibu is about 18 scenic miles on the Pacific Coast … (15 comments)
