john wooden: Monday Motivations, reflections, thoughts... - 10/23/23 10:48 PM
I always love to reflect, think and look back. Now with that said I also appreciate different perspectives and thoughts. My all-time favorite outside  from the Greeks and Romans has been Coach John Wooden.

"...Early on I came to believe that you should learn as if you were going to live forever, and live as if you were going to die tomorrow..." Coach John Wooden
"...People want to believe you are sincerely interested in them as persons, not just for what they can do for you. You can't fake it. If you don't mean it, they know it-just as you'd know if someone … (29 comments)

Motivation Monday: wisdom from John Wooden...
There are some people who have fantastic vision and can motivate others as well that of course in my mind comes to who would that be?
Well, the answer is easy John Wooden of course.  so, with that said:
'... Confidence: You must have confidence. You must believe in yourself if you expect others to believe in you...'

"...However, you can't have poise and confidence unless you've prepared correctly. (Remember that failing to prepare is preparing to fail.)..."
"... every block is built on the others. Ehen all are in place, poise and confidence result..."

john wooden: Do you need motivation? Only on a Monday, or other days as well? - 01/17/22 06:59 PM
Do you need motivation? Only on a Monday, or other days as well?
I always enjoyed reading other members sharing posts on Motivation. I don’t recall ever having done one, each time I considered it Active Rain had a glitch or there was always some reason or excuse, so it never happened; at least not that I recall. Since today was a relaxing and somewhat quiet day, as I was reflecting on the past and planning the future, I thought why not do a simple post about Motivation instead?
I have always considered myself to be “self-motivated” or “internally motivated” without the need … (47 comments)

john wooden: Random quotes, well worth reading and applying as it fits... - 06/15/18 12:24 AM
Some days I tend to be more philosophical and some days I like to share some of what I have been thinking about, other days, I just like to share a few quotes from people we all know and learned to respect. So, with that said enjoy these quotes and apply them in your life as you see fit.

“Man’s mind stretched to a new idea never goes back to its original dimensions” Oliver Wendel Holmes
“There can be no transformation of darkness into light and of apathy into movement without emotions” Carl Jung
“Happiness lies in the joy of achievement & in the … (23 comments)

Motivation Monday: Slow and steady gets you ready... ( Coach John Wooden)
Most of you have heard Motivation Gurus preaching many ideas some  of which to me are great, then again some are  far fetched and some just average ideas. On the other hand I have always had high respect for everything Coach John Wooden used to say. There is not one bad message that I can recall from Coach Wooden. There are two or three quotes that are so valuable and I have been living by these words for so many years I can  not even remember how long...
One of these … (34 comments)

john wooden: Customer Service: What does it mean to you? I provide 100% customer service! - 12/12/13 04:58 PM
Customer Service: What does it mean to you? I provide 100% customer service! Period!!
I pride myself with providing 100 percent customer service. That is my Goal, that is my Objective and I will not settle   for anything less. Period!!
I have often heard people say they give “110% customer service” sorry to disappoint you, there is only 100% to give. Super Coach John Wooden of UCLA said it best: “110 is not the goal” Coach Wooden expected from his players to reach perfection. So he was clear that perfection is to give 100 percent of their potential and that is … (15 comments)

john wooden: NBA Playoffs have started: This made me reflect what is more important Character or Reputation in our Profession - 04/17/10 04:40 PM
As the NBA Playoffs have started, I was lucky to get home and be able to watch the last half of the Boston Celtics Miami Heat game.WOW what a game, coming from behind and winning. Now that is what the salesman in me loved.  The Boston Celtics players have brought with them all their skills to the game, giving their all and ultimately beating the Miami Heat. This made me reflect.
That is exactly what a Realtor does; the Skills are brought to the table when representing buyers or sellers. For buyers the Realtor is negotiating the best deal in their purchase. … (14 comments)
