los angeles realtor: Pasadena Single Family Market Trends Report... - 04/06/19 11:15 PM
As I mentioned in my previous Post, this Investor client wanted to know what the demographics were in Pasadena before she was ready to buy some Investment Property. Now with that said, I did some research and at the same time felt this would be a great Blog Post to share for others as well.
Looking at the Average Sales Price, looks like the Single Family Market is pretty strong in Pasadena when it comes to price increases. Hence it would be a good investment even if you only look at the year over year price increases.
Inventory has increase slightly but not … (6 comments)

Our friend Hannah Williams  found an old post of mine, where I blogged about going to one of the Rolling Stones Concerts. Luck would have it yesterday I was on Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles and I stopped in to Book Soup. Yes you guessed it a bookstore. I had 45 minutes gap between me second appointment... with that said I took a few pictures and Hannah this is for you!

los angeles realtor: The Day After Thanksgiving: What did you do? - 11/23/18 10:53 PM
The Day After Thanksgiving: What did you do?
I intentionally waited until the day is almost closing to ask this question, not wanting to influence your answer. So, with that said, let me tell you what I did.
Well I slept in late and barely did anything out side of having breakfast until about noon. Then I decided to look at my emails. Now this was an eye opener for sure, since Tuesday I have been just handling the important emails, texts and calls that needed to be taken care of. Hence there was a massive amount of junk mail that needed to … (26 comments)

los angeles realtor: There is always something to be thankful for every day.... - 11/21/18 11:19 PM
There is always something to be thankful for, all we need to do is, look around us and we will noticed them. It could be people, friends, pets or something else. I could write hundreds of posts what I am thankful for, but that is not the purpose of this post.
I am so grateful and thankful for the Classical Radio Station FM 91.5  that I listen to, depending what day it is from 14-18 hours a day. No matter how turbulent the day is, no matter how difficult some of the clients are, the Classical Music in the background keeps me … (58 comments)

los angeles realtor: Voting with your money might change attitudes of companies... - 09/06/18 12:16 AM
I was reading the other day that Nike took a less than Patriotic stand with one of their commercials. It reminded me of a number of previous events over the years. One of my favorite memory was about my parents.
Those of you who do not know, my parents came to the United States in 1967 originally from Hungary and my father was the proudest naturalized  United States citizen you could ever meet. He was more American than those born in this country. He was  always law abiding, never spoke bad of the country or the politicians who ran the country … (117 comments)

los angeles realtor: Breakfast is important: what is your go to in a rush meal? - 09/02/18 11:34 PM
There is an old saying Breakfast is the most important meal to start you off in the morning for a successful day. Well for the past two years I have been addicted to this Yogurt. Check it out, it is so smooth and tasty, if you know me that is not enough I have to bring every meal up to the next level. So with that said this one I added Raspberries to it. When I have their Blue Berry Yogurt I add fresh Blueberries. Noosa is so good creamy and delish...but I make it even better:))
So what do you have for breakfast … (67 comments)

los angeles realtor: A footnote in West Point History... - 07/28/18 11:47 PM
This post was inspired by my friend James Dray             since he wrote  about the Father of West Point aka the United States Military Academy. Yes, Sylvanus Thayer is considered by most as the “Father of West Point” so with that said let me add a footnote to his post.
In the history of West Point, Sylvanus Thayer is considered the Father of West Point. Indeed, there is a Statue of Thayer and a building named after him as well, at the United States Military Academy.

Now on the other hand, “The Forgotten Father of West Point” was none other … (16 comments)

los angeles realtor: Brainstorming for an Active Rain Contest: Book Smart.... - 05/29/18 11:16 PM
This Contest Idea was inspired by two well respected Active Rain Members   Barbara Todaro   &   Patricia Feager
They commented on one of my Speechless  Sunday Posts. Just to refresh everyone’s memory, I took the photo at a private Art Show, that one of my clients was holding at the Chateau Marmont  on the Sunset Strip. This is the place where the who is who of Hollywood love to hide for a night or two, but love to be seen having breakfast or lunch in the various garden eateries, but I am digressing, also this is where Diane saw quite a few celebrities in … (27 comments)

los angeles realtor: What's for Dinner? This question comes up every day... - 05/19/18 10:44 PM
What's for Dinner? This question comes up every day as Diane is driving home from work... Then she tells me if she is in the mood for a bigger or a lighter meal. Last night she wanted something light so I made Copper River Salmon with salad instead of the usual sides of vegetables, and rice or potatoes... I usually do not start to make dinner until I had a conversation with her and what mood she is in and for what type of food.
Today, as she is driving home from Volunteering all day walking dogs, she did not ask. She said she … (46 comments)

los angeles realtor: Celebrating Earth Day: did you know that this is the 48th year of... - 04/20/18 11:52 PM
Earth Day 2018 is celebrating its 48th birthday.  Did you know that I remember the first one? Now with that said I am aging myself.  I have written a few posts over the years about this very special day. Those of you who read my posts regularly might remember them...
I still remember the inception of Earth Day, better known now as the beginning of this movement. I was in High School and my father would let me drive his 1968 Chevrolet Impala with its V-8 engine on special occasions to school.  The year was 1970 and those were the days of … (13 comments)

los angeles realtor: 'The Conclave' by Robert Harris: a book review by Endre Barath,Jr... - 04/18/18 12:00 AM
‘The Conclave’ by Robert Harris: A Book Review

Over the years, I have read quite a few books by Robert Harris. I have even met him at the Los Angeles Festival of Books a few years ago.
His books are truly enjoyable, provided you are a fan of historical novels. One of my favorite observation about his writing style is, that he writes about historic events and his research is impeccable. Now keep in mind they are thrillers, that have such a page turning quality to it, that it is hard to put the book down.
If you are a student of history, you … (16 comments)

Living and driving in Silicon Beach can be fun, especially if you are driving on April 1, 2018. Things you notice on the road can also be even more entertaining. All you must do, is, look around and observe your surroundings. A tech guru's April Fools Fun!!!
Diane and I were heading home on Lincoln Blvd. in Playa Vista, she noticed and pointed to a Road Construction Sign. I cracked up laughing and said I must turn around😊. Exactly, she said “…oh for your “Speechless Sunday Post”?...” I said of course this will be a fun photo.
Now with that said, I did … (14 comments)

The Winter Olympics Mentality of a Beverly Hills Realtor:  Endre Barath, Jr.

The Winter Olympics are almost over, those who watched had the opportunity to see world class athletes compete in the various winter sports on the biggest stage of their career. As we all concur, some of these athletes have been training since they were little children.
We all know and accept the fact, that to be physically the best in any sport involves, a strong will to succeed. The goal to be the ‘Best’, comes with many choices, many decisions and many sacrifices.
There has to emotional strength … (18 comments)

los angeles realtor: Finding the right real estate agent in Los Angeles, CA... - 07/23/17 11:29 PM
Finding the right real estate agent in Los Angeles, CA: there are many choices and the task is not that easy for most people, it can be a daunting task.
Just to give you an idea, in California, you might have a hard time imagining it, but according to the California Bureau of Real Estate there are 195,000+ licensees as of the end of June 2017. Of those licensees, there are approximately 25,000 agents in Los Angeles. Of these licensees, not all are Realtors and not all of them are practicing agents.
I am going to give you a few helpful hints, this … (6 comments)

los angeles realtor: Do you pre-qualify a buyer's agent, before you set up an appointment? - 04/03/17 11:13 PM
Do you pre-qualify a buyer's agent, before you set up an appointment? Or to be clear do you ask pointed questions?
This post was inspired by a Q & A tread on Active Rain, where an agent was taking a position that I totally disagreed with: The disagreement is about the fact, that I have no problem questioning the buyer’s agent about the qualifications of their buyer prior to providing access to the property.
Just for the record, a listing agent has numerous fiduciary responsibilities to their sellers. Sadly, some agents do not get this and wonder why they are not listing agents.
 Sellers, … (114 comments)

los angeles realtor: Look what came in the mail... - 03/05/17 11:49 PM
One of my favorite quotes, by non other than Albert Einstein, came in the mail for me. Sadly the reason is because  a certain group is trying to get a Proposition through the electoral process. The message is great the cause they are pushing is bad.

I was just pondering how can they use such a great man's image and message to promote a bad program that is just plain bad for Los Angeles tenants, future home owners and developers? I find it unconscionable!

Never the less I am enjoying the picture and the message from Albert Einstein!
