Santa Monica, CA 90401 has a new Independent Bookstore: The Book Monster The other day, Diane and I had some business to take care of in Santa Monica, CA, we were done by about 9 am and as we were heading towards the beach to grab breakfast, look what we discovered. Indeed, you guessed it, another Independent Bookstore😊 Immediately, I headed to a nearby parking structure and in we went. Living in a world with abbreviations. First in fairness to disclosure, one of my pet peeves is carrying on communications peppered with abbreviations in writing emails or in blog posts or just in conversation, I find it ‘rude’, ‘condescending’ and most of all ‘annoying’. Every profession has their ‘short cuts’, Real Estate has more than its share. Here in California we have so many forms that I find it is in bad form when people constantly communicate in abbreviations. In case you have not heard: Breaking news is that the temperatures will remain in the 100 degree range in the majority of the Greater Los Angeles area.
On these hot days make sure you have enough water to hydrate yourself as well as your four legged friend. Dogs need to drink too. So often I see people walking their dogs and the dogs tongue is hanging out and panting. This is a clear sign your pet needs some water.
