First glance the area is like any immigrant crossroads in the great borough of Queens jackson Heights. The intersection is a build of indian pakistani bangladesh restaurants, cell phone outlets, and kiosks advertising money-grams /western union to India, pakistan, bangladesh. You will also find indian ethnic dresses, gold jeweller, grocery shops where you will find many cultural things. You will see asians standing around the corner chatting, sipping chai (indian tea) its seems as if you are in your home town. You will see sweet shops i mean mouth watering sweets lined in the window as display. Little India neighborhood where more South Asian (0 comments)

Jackson Heights is a bustling neighborhood, famous for its garden apartment buildings and its diversity. The racial/ethnic composition of Jackson Heights is 56.6% Hispanic/Latino, 21.1% White, 16.6% Asian, 1.9% Black, and 3.8% Other. Jackson Heights' northern boundary is the Grand Central Parkway. East Elmhurst is northeast (86th St) and Corona east (Junction Blvd). Elmhurst is south of Roosevelt Avenue. To the west is Woodside, across the BQE.
