ft bragg: The Weather is Changing But Buyers Are Not
- 09/14/09 03:04 PM
What an incredible time of year we are in now. The weather is becoming cooler in the mornings which signals the onset of fall. One thing that isn't changing is the need today's buyers have for the expertise of professional Realtors. If you take time to show them you are genuinely concerned about their family needs, you'll likely have a fan for life. If they ask you to send them homes between 150K and 200K, don't send them homes that are priced at 210K. It sets the wrong tone from the start, that of one who doesn't listen well. ft bragg: They Listened....So I Listed at 235 Union Circle, Lillington, NC
- 02/06/09 03:13 PM
I have new clients who contacted me to sell their home. The house is in a great location but we had to declutter in order to take pictures. The ones I took didn't showcase the house to its full potential. I gave them some pointers, literally, and they executed like an Army company marching in step. The counters were decluttered, the toys were centralized in one location and the office looked like an office again. They were pleased and so was I. The photos were definite before and after shots. I used the "before" photos to get them to see what the (2 comments)

ft bragg: Speed Limit Change While Leaving Ft. Bragg/All American Freeway
- 08/29/08 09:45 AM
I received some great news today for those who leave Ft. Bragg using the All American Freeway. Traffic leaving Ft. Bragg will be detoured to the Gruber Road using the off-ramp and returned to the All American Expressway using the Gruber Road on-ramp. This closure will change the speed limit from 25 MPH to 45 MPH on the two outbound lanes at the All American Access Control Point. It seems like we were already going 45 mph but now it won't get you a ticket. Drive safely and enjoy. (0 comments)
ft bragg: Buying Gas Today Almost Made Me Smile
- 07/17/08 08:53 AM
I purchased my car 6 years ago unconcerned about the recommended octane. I'm a 93 octane girl. With the recent cost of gasoline, it generally costs me about $65+ to fill up my 18 gallon tank. As a result to keep my feelings from being hurt, I now fill up when it gets half empty. Well today as I was going to the commissary, I passed the military gas station to see the gas was priced at 3.95, 4.10 and 4.15, respectively. As you would know the lines were long but I joyfully stopped anyway. As an added bonus, my gas tank (2 comments)

I have friends who love the camping scene. They load it with ALL of the necessities and hit the road. In fact, they traveled from El Paso, TX to Fayetteville staying at sites along their route. Thinking of their trip and Robin Williams, it almost makes me want to travel in an RV based on the movie he made. Since these are houses on wheels I know I can do it comfortably. If you are traveling through Fayetteville, feel free to stop by one of the local sites below to see what they have to offer. Otherwise, visit this site to get some of (2 comments)

ft bragg: A Funny Moment At Closing
- 06/18/08 12:31 PM
I had a late closing today with an attorney I have never worked with. We waited in the lobby area for them to do whatever for about 25 mins. Finally we were called to the back. The gentleman/attorney motions for us to go into a particular room and he starts his professional brief without hesitation. He finally got to the last page so congratulations were in order for my client. She then proceeded to ask him who he was. He had a flustered look on his face as he introduced himself. We laughed about him being the "overdressed" janitor that would make (6 comments)
ft bragg: Summer Activities On Ft. Bragg For Our Kids
- 06/17/08 03:53 PM
Now that the summer is here and school is out, my girls have to have something to do. That will be the only way I maintain my sanity until school starts again. Well today's venture was cheerleading practice for my oldest who is on the JV Team for Jack Britt HS. My youngest had her first day in gymnastics. I see (and hear) her flipping all over the house. Today she was cartwheeling her heart out, tumbling with her braids all over the place and as happy as a lark. I always tell them that school will be more important than these (0 comments)

ft bragg: Are You Looking For Lodging Near Ft. Bragg, NC?
- 03/10/08 11:08 AM
Lodging near Ft. Bragg can be categorized as friend or foe. It will all depend on how well you are prepared for the transition. While there are many short-term and long-term lodging facilities, the Extended Stay America is one that is dog friendly. They do charge an additional price for this service. Since this is the beginning of our peak season for PCS moves I would make reservatios at least 30-45 days out. Everyone is trying to get to their next location with time to get settled in for their kids to start school. Be sure to ask about some of the (2 comments)

How many times have you seen an out of area number come on your cell phone and found yourself rolling your eyes at your phone? You know you should answer it because, literally, anyone could be calling with use of the internet. Someone like a Soldier from Iraq or Afghanistan headed my way to Ft. Bragg who need a home. I take the time to answer to find someone on the other end who wants to sell me something to enhance MY business. They are not as pushy as most telemarketers but it is nerve-racking. ft bragg: Agent and Child Set Off Two Alarms in Thirty Minutes
- 02/04/08 01:50 PM
I took clients out today to look at houses. They are a military family moving from Texas to be stationed at Ft. Bragg with duty in Iraq next month. I knew it would be a smooth transaction since they narrowed their search to one school district, Jack Britt High. That, coupled with the new construction inventory, moved things along fairly quickly. After getting to the first house, I opened the door with my new supra causing the alarm to go off. I'm just wondering... Is it too much to ask to write this in the MLS or on the window by the door??? ft bragg: I Had The Time Of My Life with the Army
- 01/13/08 10:52 AM
One of the rewards of being involved with the Armed Forces is attending a Military Ball. My husband's Battalion had theirs on Friday night at the renowned Carolina Inn in Pinehurst, NC. The Ball was a culmination of 15 months of serving in Iraq. It was to show gratitude to those who served abroad and those spouses who served at home in their absence. The hard work and dedication was obvious. After I got there my husband told me we would have to stand IN the receiving line to welcome the Soldiers and their wives/dates. Had I known that, I would have been prepared (6 comments)
